Quick Answer
This reflection for Jesus Calling November 22 reminds you that many churches mark Christ the King Sunday today. The one who walks with you is also the one who holds all things together.
Scripture for Today
- Colossians 1:17 (KJV):
“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
- Revelation 19:16 (KJV):
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Reflection: Jesus Is Lord Over This Whole Week
We usually picture Jesus as gentle, and He is. But the Bible also shows Him as King, and that matters on anxious days. A gentle friend who cannot help is a comfort. A gentle friend who is also Lord of all is a refuge.
Imagine a pilot calmly speaking through turbulence. Passengers settle because they trust the person at the controls. Knowing that Jesus reigns doesn’t remove turbulence, but it changes how we sit through it. Today, as you worship, bring the week ahead and place it under His care.
Try This Today
- Declare His Lordship: Name one worry and say aloud, “Jesus, You are Lord over this.”
- Sing with Confidence: Sing or read a hymn that celebrates His rule.
- Intercede for Leaders: Pray for one leader or authority in your life.
Prayer for Today
King Jesus,
You hold all things together, including my small world. I place this week at Your feet. Rule my heart with love and truth.
Amen.
Question to Carry This Week
