“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” — John 14:27 November 2026 Guide → October Guide →

At Bible Calling (https://biblecalling.github.io/), we are committed to honoring your privacy and maintaining a transparent, peaceful online environment. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you browse our reflections, create an account, subscribe to devotionals, or participate in community discussions.

1. Overview of Website Hosting

Bible Calling is hosted statically using GitHub Pages. Browsing our articles and reading devotionals requires no personal information. Standard, anonymized server logs (such as IP addresses, browser types, and access timestamps) may be processed by GitHub to ensure infrastructure security and prevent malicious traffic in accordance with the GitHub Privacy Statement.

2. User Accounts & Authentication

To post reflections, reply to other believers, or participate in the community comment section, visitors may optionally create a user account. Authentication is managed through a secure cloud authentication infrastructure provided by Supabase:

  • Continue with Google: If you choose Google authentication, your sign-in is processed securely via Google OAuth. Bible Calling never receives or stores your Google password. We receive only your verified email address, your basic profile name, and an optional profile avatar.
  • Email & Password Authentication: If you register using your email, your credentials are encrypted and securely stored by our authentication provider (Supabase). Passwords are never stored in plain text, never stored in GitHub Pages code, and are inaccessible to our website administrators.

3. Community Comments & Public Display

When you submit a comment on any devotional or article:

  • Public Display Name: Only your chosen display name (and optional profile avatar) is publicly visible alongside your reflection.
  • Email Privacy: Your email address is NEVER displayed publicly, never shown to other visitors, and never sold or rented to advertisers.
  • Comment Storage: Comments, timestamps, and post references are securely stored in our cloud database to provide conversation history and reply threads.
  • User Control: You have the right to edit or delete your own comments at any time using the on-page controls while signed in.

4. Newsletter & Email Communications

If you choose to subscribe to our devotional newsletter:

  • Your email address is used solely to send you biblical reflections, prayers, and devotional updates.
  • We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address with third parties or commercial marketers.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in every newsletter email, or by contacting our team directly.

5. Cookies & Browser Storage

We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies, cross-site trackers, or behavioral profiling scripts.

  • Authentication Session (Local Storage): To maintain your signed-in state across page visits, our authentication provider securely stores an encrypted JSON Web Token (JWT) in your browser's local storage. This allows you to stay signed in without re-entering credentials on every article.
  • Draft Preservation (Session Storage): If you type a comment before signing in, the browser temporarily preserves your comment text in session storage so it is not lost during login. This draft contains only comment text — never credentials — and is cleared immediately upon successful posting.

6. Social Sharing Privacy

Our social sharing buttons (Facebook, X, Pinterest, WhatsApp, and Copy Link) use lightweight direct URL links. We do not load external third-party social tracking widgets or tracking pixels that monitor your browsing behavior across the web.

7. Content Moderation & Community Safety

To maintain a Christ-honoring, welcoming environment free of harassment, spam, and offensive language, comments are subject to editorial review. Visitors can report inappropriate content. Reports are submitted anonymously to our editorial team for review.

8. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information:

  • You can delete your individual comments at any time while signed in.
  • To request the permanent deletion of your user account, you can email our team at with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. Upon account deletion, personal profile identifiers are permanently purged from our database.

9. External Links

Our articles may occasionally contain links to external Christian educational resources or Scripture tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites and encourage you to review their policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally as community features evolve. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated revision date.
